Had this geni a few years, just dug it out of the garage, difficult to get it to start & run first couple of times, last used 18 months ago+. Starting first pull now, bit lumpy when running, not cutting out but seems a bit louder than I remember.

Problem is I am getting nothing from the 240volt plug, there is no cutout or fuse associated with this socket. Sometimes the overload lamp flashes (makes no difference if anything is plugged in) but mostly its just the green led thats on.

I get 18volts from the 12volt socket.

Cannot see a fuse or trip anywhere, cannot understand why standing (dry but cold conditions) for 18 months would upset the electronics.

Any one have any ideas, or can recommend someone who can fix it ? We's based in Oxford and local would be nice.

Just had my Kipor returned to me after having a new alternator fitted. £117.50 fitted and delivered to my door.

Great service. Not sure where they are based. Pm me if your interested and I will forward his details.

Mine was doing the same as yours however he said that my fault was very rare and it's normally the PCB!

Thanks for the help, I have been on the blower to REB small plant repairs (http://www.smallplantrepairs.co.uk/page1.php) who are very very helpful (thanks Chris), seems it needs a new inverter module (£150ish), I am going to pick one up and fit it myself, also need to clean the carb as old fuel etc.

Will report back, not rushing into it so may be some time.
