Anyone remember "Stomper Trucks"? They were made by Schaper, and ran on a Single AA battery and had fully changeable tyres and motors etc.
Here's some pics, i remember having the Stomper 4 Track set:

The Trucks were like this:

Nobody else i spoke to could remember these at all but i remember loving them and getting new cars for my 4th B'day, i thought it was cool just making new tracks for them to go over :D

I had a stomper, cant remember which one though, I used to want to peel the stickers off everything.
What I also had, was a Bigfoot and a Black Gold truck, anyone remember these? there was another in the range called Orange something. They had two gear sticks on the roof, one for forward and reverse and one for hi and lo gear...or was it 2 and 4wd, the Bigfoot had something the Black Gold didn't have, cant think what it was though.

Yayy, Rough Riders. I had a neat little green Subaru GLF 3-door one (the Jap car in The Cannonball Run) before I got my first RC, Tamiya Sand Rover.
Anybody remember the Big Trak?

i had the orange one. can't for the life of me remember the name, something silly (orange pumpkin rings a bell?). There was a trailer to go with them that you could put weights in and the weight moved up further making it harder to pull the further they went.
Also had a tiny tamiya clodbuster kit that ran on a couple of AA batteries, loved making little courses for that to climb over

I had Lego, and Tomy Slot cars (which were miles better than scalesxtric since they had magnets on the bottom, and were miles faster as well!!!). I remember these tho, as a friend had them I think, they were fun, but I still remember screwball scramble :woot:

Haha Garry i had Scalextric and a TCR (Total Control Racing??) set! They were cool as, slot-less racing so you could switch lanes and there was even a "jammer" car that would cruise around slowly so you had to over-take it!
Ring raiders i also remember, everyone at my school had them for a while - right around the time it was a good idea to bring Micro Machines in to school in a "bum bag" - niiiiiiiiiiiiiiice lol

Bikes were where it was at really.
I had that exact version, with the hexagon block tyres and fake shocks - Raleigh Striker
And no - that's not me, surprisingly.

i had a striker, looked a little different to that and had a back pedal brake instead of a lever. Was awesome for skids!

Does anybody remember another toy.
It was a bit like manta force, but the men where a little bigger, and they had magnets in thier feet!! If i remeber correctly, there where good guys (in White) and bad guys (in black).
The space ships had magnets etc all over them, and when you press button, loading ramps and wings etc extended. I think they where mechanical somehow and didn't need batterys.
Anybody remember these?? Its really bugging me that I can't think of the name.
One of my friends had a TCR set how cool were they, I had a matchbox powertrack race and chase. Which had a leaver on the handcontrol to spin the car around. The cars were a 73 corvette and a police car with flashing lights.
I still own a Scalectric which is in my loft somewhere!
I also owned a BigTrak, which you could pretty much program to go around the house (only on one level though).
