Thats a shame, as the 501 was a damn good car as i imagine the 511 is. Good Uk support is needed and this belted beauty would fly off the shelves and round the uk tracks.
Any news on what happened to sleigh?

The result of the second leg of the 'A' has made it very interesting! :woot:

DaveG28 15-08-2009 03:06 PM

Just seen the 2nd leg on rc timing, is it down to Marc/Hupo Tamiya's vs Cragg/Lee's B44's for the title in leg 3 now??

Rheinard wins 4wd then.

DaveG28 15-08-2009 04:10 PM

Congrats Tamiya, assuming no scrutineering problems the World touring champ is now Euro 4wd champ!

Looked like Cragg did some awesome laps in the middle of that though!!

WOW!!! What a racer: WC 1/10 TC, EC 1/10 TC, EC 1/10 TC indoor, EC 1/10 Offroad 4WD ... Seems to be the year of Marc Reinhard and the TRF Team :-) Congratulations to Marc and all Tamiya Drivers.

Imagine the results the 511 could get in the UK with some top drivers aboard....

If it didn't sound like he had a totally standard car, I'd expect a 511MRE in the near future to cash in!!

Nike 15-08-2009 04:42 PM

That would be cool :-) TRF 511 Reinhard Edition :-) Now Tamiya has to give him also a golden TRF buggy, like the MSX before. But it shows really, how strong he is at the moment.

I'm no expert but I think the best two laps are used in order to take into account that a driver may break his car in practice even though he's fast, or simply pull off before the end of the run.

It's not unusual for heats to be re-seeded after controlled practice.
