That's the trouble. Some of the tracks are two hours away from people which means to get there at 8am you have to wake up at 5:30 or earlier to leave home at 6am on a Sunday morning! Isn't getting home at 9pm easier than getting up between five and six in the morning?
Most regionals I've done have finished anywhere from 4-6pm. By that time the days over anyway, you're just going home. Why not finish at 5-7pm? It still gives everyone plenty of time to get home at a sensible hour, but not have to get up at such an early time in the morning. Which if anyone else is like me, leaves them tired all of Sunday whilst racing and sometimes the same on Monday too.
