The 22-4 Showing from Caldicot tonight. They all went really well, but we did have a breakage. A turnbuckle end!!

jayst 25-01-2014 06:59 PM

I ran kit setup at cmcc 2day and it was ok . bit bouncy until I broke the rear shock tower on the triple

Well under the hood at least , not painted the shell yet but it's all masked up ready to go !

Must say I found it quite tricky hiding all the wires away , I guess most people will run the battery wire from the speedo over the top of the drivetrain ?

I didn't like that idea so went for the more difficult option !!
( as ever ! )

Getting a run out on Sunday?

Kosmickid 29-01-2014 03:50 PM

For those that have run theirs, what car did you run before (if any) and how does the 22-4 compare initially?

OneKiwi 29-01-2014 04:15 PM

HOw do you like your tresrey servo?

Yeah got to be happy that they left lots of room for a nice wire install... Seen a few pics from the reedy race etc... A lot look like a good ol birds nest

GrahamH7060 29-01-2014 05:47 PM

Yes Zipper will defo be running it at the weekend !
Just got to glue up some tyres and spray the shell and it's finished !

As for the Tresrey servo , I had it previously in a Dex210 and seemed both quick and strong ! Only put it in cos it's got Red on it !!

I've got a Savox 1256tg which will be going into my 22 2.0 when I get chance to build it ! Thought the quicker stronger one would be better utilised in that but we'll see I guess ??

stegger 29-01-2014 06:18 PM

Liking the RED theme Darren from DMS will be jealous  I will post mine later ;) anybody got there speedo setup with the motor/batt terminals body side, is there enough room for the shell. I would check but shell is away being painted.

This is the underside of mine , vinyl to match my pit box, tranny , batteries , Quadcopter ( basically everything I've got is covered in this scheme ! )
Applied a clear vinyl chassis protector over the top too !
I've probably added about 1kg of weight but hey , it looks great !!

Nice touch Graham.Have been vinyl wrapping my chassis's in c/f effect.Went to put it on the 22 4 but when i went to get it,it was not there.Asked the kids if they had seen it and Zac,my six year old had vinyl wrapped his lego box:thumbsup:
Alas the 22 4 is bare.

YES INDEED !! You've obviously seen my driving !!
Mind you , I don't really care how I race as long as my cars look cool going round I'm happy !

I also thought that if it's nice and bright it would urge the Marshall's to respond a little quicker ! Maybe Mr M should do the underside of his fluo pink ?? Ha Ha !

I have no problem having the bottom of the car pink, I've already warned Darren I'll be wanting pink wheels when DE racing get round to doing a 22-4 front!
