Madrat Pics and truck pics???

Just wanted to see everyones pics of there buggies. I just got sponsored by tq racing and i should've my buggy and truck within the next week. For those that dont know the tq racing version is basically the same as the madrat with some changes done to it. Heres a active thread about the buggy here in the u.s. Whats everyones opinion on the car?? I know theres some team guys running them here and they've had really good results. Also any truck pics out there??? lets see them:)

Also for u guys running the cars what are the weak and strong points that you've seen in the car? I've heard that b4 wheels and losi fit?? Just trying to learn a lil bit more about the cars before i get them next week. Do b4 steering blocks work up front. I beleive i've seen some guys using them. Thanks for any info.

budgio 26-11-2009 12:13 AM

So now we have the Annsman xpro /TeamcTCO2/Kawada B2x and now the TQ RACING SX 10 (all the same).
This could all get a bit confusing... :)
Anymore for anymore?
Really enjoying mine, been running it for the last few months on dirt at the Proline Dirt Arena and its been a great performer. The shocks are fantastic,i,ve hardly broken a thing on it apart from the Tpieces which have now been strengthened on new kits.
I,m running standard setup with Red springs all round and 30degree hub carrier.
As for pics ..mine from a while back ..Trf shocks/vortex shell

COOL ANY SHOTS WITH The body off??do any other shells out there fit it?? I know the team azarashi body fits. I was curious if a b4 body would fit if u cut the back part off?? im assuming your vortex is made for the b4?

budgio 26-11-2009 12:26 AM

Its the Vortex for the Kyosho RB-5 .Gives it a bit more space for brushless esc with fan.

rob martin 26-11-2009 12:28 AM

OH OK cool.

rob martin 26-11-2009 12:36 AM

Here goes a quick pic of the TQ Racing 4wd buggy. There will be some running changes made to it before production but this gives u a good idea of what it will look like.

Yea it looks like a nice car(cat sx). I know here in the u.s it around $500 which imo is wayyyy to much for a 10thscale 4wd. U can get a 1/8th scale for cheaper than that.

btw any TRUCK PICS OUT THERE HAHAH:D

mattlynch 28-11-2009 02:54 PM

yeh it just looks mean , hopefully schumacher will bring out a clubman edition of the cat sx at around half the cost, if they are at all in touch with the grass roots racers they will, maybe if we all sent nice polite emails to them ?! that 4wd in the pics above looks like it could be fun, love to know a bit more about it, ie, ball diffs or geared,2 diffs or 3, slipper included? ,time will tell, does say they are still to finalize a few things,, hope we are kept informed .:D

Battle_axe 28-11-2009 03:19 PM

mattlynch 28-11-2009 03:49 PM

thanks , never knew that yokomo cars were so cheap, see what you mean about the similarity, wonder how they handle. p.s just in case anyone is interested the Euro touring series is on live at , http://ets.redrc.net/live-video-feed/.

notme 28-11-2009 03:55 PM

Notice the shock bodies on that 4wd, your madrat/xpro (2wd/st) does not come with those as of yet...? Apparently a great improvement over the non hardcoated shocks.
That Bmaxx is a sport version, there of course is i believe a "worlds" edition for a considerable higher price tag.

i did notice them, hopefully they will do the hard coat bodies as an upgrade on there own to keep cost down ,i have found the green shocks on the x-pro to be superb , if the hard coats are even better then i cant wait to get my mitts on some,.:D

Those shocks are versions that tq makes. Hopefully though if ansmann or a similar company duplicates the car they give u guys quality shocks. I do know the tq shocks are extremely smooth.

i also found the stock mad rat shocks to be pretty bad so i got some yeah racing ones

they are threaded aluminium and come in a nice blue colour!!!!

thanks saw that before, still think £270 is a bit much, i know its still very well speced but they could do with building it down a bit and offering it as an assembly kit for around £170, you never know they might be working on it as i type,. just my 2 cents .

Only problem being what could they make cheaper? It already uses fibreglass (or similar) instead of Carbon fibre...

None threaded shocks? But then would they need to put money into designing and making them?

I dont think they could ever make it worth while producing one for £170, and if they did id imagine the quality would suffer and you'd have to spend £ XXX amount getting it to be reliable...

Just my thoughts :)

mattlynch 01-12-2009 12:20 AM

fair points indeed,, actualy just noticed it does come as a kit too:drool:, there are a few kicking around on ebay for those aforementioned peanuts too. i just saw my wallet running for the door in fear, any way lets see some more of those pics that this thread was started for. sorry the hijack!!:D
