Excellent, been meaning to buy one for a while to add to my childhood collection, now I can have a new one for my kids and have the fun of building it with them.:thumbsup:

I remember lusting after one of these every time I was driven past 'radio active' on the way into Chelmsford :thumbsup:

I had the blackfoot which was the same chassis, and it came from "Radio-Active" in Chelmsford! Surprisingly the shop is still there tho its now under the Hobby-Stores umbrella

I lost count of the number of diffs I destroyed in that thing until I got a Thorp ball diff.

I'd like one if they do re-re it.

I might be alone but there's one or two things I'd like them to change.
Dogbones or CVD's for the rear.
Stronger uprights up front (steering).
And whatever needs doing to that gearbox to make it strong enough for modern power.

I loved it when I had one, but it spent more time on the bench than running.

This is the machine that got me and a mate into racing. We both bought one and used to race them over the park. One day a guy came up to us and said there was a indoor club in the town that races these on a Wednesday night. So me a my matey could not wait for Wednesday to come.

We both rocked up at the club with Monster Beetle under our arms and radio in the other with only one battery charged each.

:lol::lol::lol::lol: Only to be told by the race control WE DO NOT RACE THEM IN HERE, THEY ARE TO BIG. :lol::lol::lol::lol: But fair play he put us in race of our own.Laugh well its what got me into racing. Great memories of this.
