DI wheels and tires

just as the title suggest what easily available wheels and tires fit the DI?

DCM 09-03-2007 08:07 AM

Tamiya DI wheels fit (don't get the old Top Force star wheels, the rears click on the wishbone).

Any buggy tyre fits the rims.

thats the thing the Di wheels arnt easily available i was talking like using team losi or team associated wheels

jimmy 09-03-2007 11:28 AM

no that's not possible I'm afraid. If I get chance I'll test the Kyosho rims on it for clearance.

The older Kyosho wheels had too deep an offset, so couldn't be used for racing, but can for bashing.

Unfortunately, like all things Tamiya and racing, it maybe an overseas order

Can I recommend a few sets of part# 53728. Nice white dish wheels. DI standard wheels are a bit larger. The softer Proline tyres would stretch over the standard wheels however.

Elliott.

JR-RC used to do a few wheels for the DF-03 in different colours, I got a set of green wheels and 3 sets of orange wheels from him, he did yellow ones as well. The stock ones are relatively easy to get from Hobby Co in either black or white. I think the coloured ones from JR were pattern parts as they turned up in a bag with a blank white header card, having said that, the Tamiya ones come through in a bag with no header card either...
