srcmcc,swindon radio controlled car club

Swindon Radio Controlled Model Car Club has been established for over 20 years, providing a great social atmosphere and exciting racing.

The club races outdoors on a purpose built all weather astroturf track. We have club and open championships for 1:8 scale electric and nitro off-road buggies & truggies, plus 1:10 scale electric off-road buggies, stadium & SC trucks.

Although we host regional and club level events throughout the year, our purpose is to provide both the complete novice and more experienced racers the opportunity to use their cars to the fullest potential in the most enjoyable and safest possible way.

Racing takes place every other Sunday and consists of timed rounds of qualifying to determine your grid position in your final. The points for each race meeting are then added to the club championship which runs throughout the year.

We all know how intimidating starting at a new club can be so at SRCMCC we do everything we can to put your mind at ease and make you feel welcome. So if you have a car stuck in the back of the cupboard or always wanted to be a racing driver then come down and see us one Sunday... but be warned, it's very addictive!

Club website http://www.swindonrcmodelcarclub.co.uk/ Transponder hire and 1/10th scale club car is available.

Hello!

This track looks great. Very large, with lots of different challenges.

I've never raced outdoors before. Do 10th's use the whole track? Do you have many 10th's racing regularly?

I might come along in the spring, when its warmed up a litle!

:)

in the spring summer the 1/10th run at all the 1/8th meetings, they dont use the whole track, but it a good club for anyone wanting to try racing,if you want to use the whole track we allow 1/8th electric buggys to race with the nitros, bring a buggy down and we will get you racing, It that kind of club
