2WD Slim Green Fronts-Normal or narrow rim?

Hi guys,

Im going to be mounting some Schui Green 2WD Slim tyres. How do most people mount them. I think most run them on standard 2WD rim with a 4WD front insert? is this the correct way? cheers chaps

I mount mines on slim wheels with no insert or standard wheels with a 4wd insert cut in half. Depends on the track and the grip conditions really.

With spikes I usually end up using 4wd front insert and mount the tyre wide across the 2wd or 4wd front rim. It is only the staggered rib that I mount slim with no insert and slim mini pins mounted slim with insert.

Same as Grant Jamie, the more rubber on the ground the more grip, probably wrong though?

you should mount them on the std rims , slim rims are really only used for old staggers, you should mount them with a insert the same size as tire, old staggers use no insert on a slim rims, everything else inc new staggers should have a insert, and whether you use hard soft med or tubby thats down to personnel preference,
