Apex Model's Tuesday Nights Summer Shootout FINAL ROUND 4th Sep 2012
 

After chatting on Tuesday night, we're starting a summer series for 2012, akin to the successful series we ran in 2011

Summer Shootout 2012:

• Racing will be qualifying on a 5 minute basis.
• Each driver will get three heats that will be in grid format.
• 'Lots' will be drawn randomly by BBK for the first heat. 2nd and 3rd heats will be grid order in REVERSE from the previous results.
• Finals will be based on points accrued in the heats (round by round qualifying system) with the TQ on pole position in the Grand Final. Points gained in the grand final will be the only points to go towards the Shootout Series Grand Finale.
• Entry is just £8.00 members, non members £10.00
• At the end of the 'Summer Shootout' the top 10 drivers (for who are available on the final night) will be invited back and will go head to head in a season finale for the 'Surrey and Hants Summer Shootout 2012' All finalists will be presented with a Purpose made Silver Trophy/Glass item as a reward for their finishing position. Something that will look proud in any trophy cabinet!.
• On the night of the finals, there will be a 5 minute practice period and then the Shootout will follow for the first race of the night.
• Races on finals night for all other racers who come along to race.
• Open to both 2wd, 4wd and Short Course trucks (min 6 per class)

• To qualify for the Grand Finale Shoot Out you must have raced in at least 5 of the 8 rounds.
• Qualifying points for the Grand Finale will be based on final placing points, ie 1st in the A final will get 1 points, first in the B will get 11 etc per meeting. All finals will be run to a 10 car max grid.
• Points accrued during the heats are purely for gaining a higher grid position in the evenings final.
• Should any points be equal after all 8 rounds, the grid places will be decided by the racers next highest score.
• Racing will be subject to weather. Unless 'extreme' cases of rain, we will still run even if numbers are low.
• The series will be based on fun and in the spirit of "enjoyment of racing".

After the madness of the regional it's Shootout time on Tuesday! Does the fun every stop???!!?!!

The warm weather continues to bless us! Looking forward to the dry Shootout tonight!

Summer Shootout Rnd 3 on Tuesday this week from 6.30pm :D

Fingers crossed the weather will be kind to us over the next few hours, looking positive but you never know! We'll run regardless :D
