Round 1 WRCA Outdoor Reginals 2014 - Caldicot

10 day to go until the all new 2014 WRCA outdoor season starts. Round 1 is as you all know at Caldicot (address and venue information can be found at http://www.crccc.co.uk).

The rough timetable for the day is:

09.30 - Booking in opens & Track opens for Free Practice
10.00 - Booking in Closes
10.10 - Free Practice Closes for Driver's Briefing
10:30 - 4 rounds of qualifying with finals start*

(We will be checking BRCA membership cards so please bring them with you)

Please don't turn up before 9am as we have the usual neighbor considerations and when you do arrive please all park in the main car park not on the road.

*We may have an option on the day to run 5 rounds instead of 4 and a final if time allows. We will make this clear at the end of round 4 as this is very time dependent but will discuss this with you all at drivers briefing.

We will be using the main hall for pitting so there will be plenty of space and power so there is no need to rush to get a space.

We will have the usual club tuck shop but no hot food this time so please remember to bring your own pack lunch.

Long range weather at the moment looks ok but it takes a turn for the worse then we will run in the hall. We will let you all know by email and messages on facebook and forums by 8pm the Friday before if we are indoors or outdoors.

Currently we are looking at 15 2wd and 13 4wd so that's enough for 4 good heats and I know there quite a few people who are yet to book in so please get the entries in as soon as possible as it makes our lives so much easier arranging the event. (you have till Sunday to book in to get the discounted rate as per previous messages)

Paul K isn't going to be there with his shop as he's on holiday, however I'm going to grab a load of tyres off him to sell on the day on his behalf. :)

Any other sensible questions guys please let me know!

Cheers

Mike

And I have just had a bit of really good news. Airbus have agreed to sponsor the junior trophies and some other bits and bobs. I still have to work out the details, but the reasoning behind it is to encourage youngsters to get thinking about science, technology, engineering and maths.

watch this space!!!
