Quite disappointed that a F2 EOS final meeting is being held this far down. What with Nationals etc this year, I'm going to have to give this a miss. Being in Scotand it's just too far.

Shame.

Can someone explain what the finals are? If you don't go to them what is the impact? Thanks

Jlc57 25-06-2013 10:00 AM

Is this also a 2 day event or just the 1st September?

Same format as Nationals, 2wd on Saturday and 4wd Sunday.
Run like a National without "F1s"
More Information can be found on the BRCA website :-

I have missed the entry with my regional rep, how do I enter for the finals on my own?
Is it an email to Paul W, or some other method?
Thanks, Chris.

hotrodchris 07-08-2013 07:17 PM

Download the entry form from the BRCA site and post it with a cheque!

chrispattinson 07-08-2013 07:36 PM

Thanks Chris...... one other question, is there a suitable area for a caravan to be pitched? Thanks.

Hi All

With only three weeks to go until this meeting the TORCH club is really looking forward to hosting this event and putting on the best show we can for you. Details on location, facilities etc are on the entry form but if you do have any queries or need any other information please do not hesitate to contact us either via this thread or at info@torchracing.org.uk

On the food front, we can confirm that we will have a food wagon on site for both days racing. In addition, we have organised a curry for the Saturday evening and if this is not to your taste, there is pub selling good food about ½ mile from the track. We also expect our ice-cream van to make a visit on both days.

As part of our continuous programme of on-going improvements to the track we have recently widened the whole track to 3m in preparation for this event. The actual layout for the meeting will be a new one not raced on previously. For those of you who have not visited TORCH before, the track is full astro and considered by most to be to be high grip in the dry. In the dry Schumacher Yellows are the usual choice with Ballistic Greens in the damp/wet.

We have a whole field for camping with drinking water but no electricity. The field is not directly adjacent to the track but is within 100m so pitting in the camping field is feasible but I think most will want to pit next the track.

We have arranged full use of the facility which we usually shared with a RC plane club in order to have the maximum amount of parking and space available. We do want to give everyone the opportunity to pit around the track and be part of the atmosphere so we will be asking everyone to unload their kit in the pitting area and then move cars to one of our two car parks in order to make space for everyone around the track.

To see a few pictures from our recent regional why not check out to Pip Pullen's excellent blog at http://pipskiracing.blogspot.co.uk/

Surely a meeting like this should be somewhere near the middle of the country ?not on the south coast!
