Looks like a very nice car, but ouch on the RRP!

Origineelreclamebord 21-03-2018 02:55 PM

With the beefed up wishbone I had hoped for more reinforcement elsewhere, to be honest. And nearly 500 quid... Does that include free replacement parts & tires or something?

Thats the RRP... the RRP on the world champ winning yoke is £509.99.

Most shops selling both kits for £50 less than RRP therefore the world champ winning yoke is still, er, more.

Both are still way more than I'm prepared to pay for a toy car tho!

Same here

Looking at those pictures of the L1 I reckon they are CAD drawings not pictures of the real car

To be fair, the K2 was 380 rrp, the new cat has the alloy gear box tops included which were a £30 option for each, so if you can get the new kit for £440 it’s the same price as the K2, I’m fine with that tbh oh and the inclusion of the roll bar kits which were £13 each

Surely a cheaper car with upgrade available means club racers are more likely buy the cheaper option and upgrade if required

£430 for it at mbmodels

For clay/outdoors an undertray would be desirable ...

Stu Dixon 21-03-2018 09:16 PM

Looks a very nice buggy

mintzant 22-03-2018 09:08 AM

After a long time Schumacher changed front and rear arms of their buggies...
I hope new one are harder........
I’m going to try in my cat k2

AmiSMB 22-03-2018 09:16 AM

Like the look of the car but I can see that you may need to get the optional alloy castor blocks for the front and also the need for long boss pinions which would suggest that none of mine would be able to fit due to location of the motor.

mark christopher 23-03-2018 07:18 PM

it comes with alloy gear box tops, anti roll/sway bars, FAB, alloy steering rack in the kit.
its something like 95% new and i doubt the arms will fit the k2. most of the team ran the 10 degree kit caster blocks on the k2, 10 are on this after lots of testing.
if you watch the the live feed on facebook, its had some high speed impact testing done .

ill be upgrading without a thought!

fidspeed 23-03-2018 07:22 PM

On order

Typpo 23-03-2018 09:28 PM

Based on the exploded diagram, the rear arms may fit. However, according to the website, it looks like the front arm inner hinge pins have a different diameter than the K2 version.

So what are the pros and cons of belts over shaft driven 4wds?

I think, Belts accelerate faster, the motor is in the correct direction to generate grip, also in the correct direction for faster corner speed.

At the Pictures of Orlowsky's L1 at the EOS from last Weekend, it looks like, he was using standard pinion, so may it is not naccesary to run long boss pinions ony!?

enclose is the link to RedRc Gallery:

PS.: i was there on saturday to watch the races, the Cat L1 was looking even more incredible in nature.
