Schumacher Cougar KF or KR?

Hi,

I'm looking to enter the 2WD buggy class in the near future.
I'm looking at the current line up of Schumacher 2WD buggies, and wondered which was best.

I would be running it on tarmac, carpet and astro.

Thanks in advance.:)

Defo if if you really want to be very competitive, safe choice to learn and have good time with kr, remember the if will need the low grip chassis to get the very best out of it

Try a Dex210 you only need to buy one car then, rear or mid motor choice and competitive with out any upgrades

Tarmac?
Are you putting a touring car body on it haha
Kf all day !!!
Unless you can afford a yz2 and then you have got a hard decision to make

Yes, because the dex210 is part of the Schumacher line up... :eh?:

Thanks a lot,

I think I'll go for the KF, seems like a great car.
Brand loyal, so no Durungo aha.

Great car and not knocking it at all, but wait if you can until mid Feb for the new release with out the old style rear scaffolding

new KF?

how is the new car going to be?

It just makes sense to update the rear of the car, To go for a strap type of toe and anti squat adjustment as per the SV2, quicker to adjust and stronger.

That could also lead to a update of the SV2 so it can take the KF, SVR gear differential and then a revision to the rear of K1 aero.

This would provide all three cars with the same rear lower transmission cases just guessing, though Nuremberg 2015 is sure going to be interesting as to what Schumacher bring out of the hat

A good suggestion there some cracking deals available on this car and it meant to be Schumacher All Rounder interms of variable surfaces.

I wouldn't buy a new KF but look for a secondhand car with the upgrades and spares.

Does no one really race the KR then? Seems to be a lot of love for the KF.

I recently bought a KR (bit of an impulse buy) as coming from on road I wanted to try off road, I'm not too fussed about being competitive straight off and I just want to get some miles under my belt and learn to jump!!

I know it's designed for loose dirt and not really aimed at our astro and carpet tracks, but surely it won't be a million miles off the pace of the mid motor cars if driven correctly and consistently?

I may well end up buying a KF or even progressing to 4WD with a K1 as I (hopefully) get better.

Youd be surprised how much faster it is in high grip, even the wet..

Fair enough, well my driving will be the limiting factor for a while yet anyway so once that improves and I feel the chassis is holding me back, I'll look at another kit.

Any excuse to buy a new kit though right?! :wub

This looks a good KF if someone is wanting a used car with majority of upgrades.
