Ha,I knew you'd spot it mate:lol:.

adey 13-03-2012 09:17 PM

The pic is black and white on the site. Wonder why.

Mine's got a Durga steering rack on it now.

adey 24-03-2012 07:40 PM

The steering ackerman is the important thing. I played with the steering alot and found that moving the steering back a few mm worked well.

Yeah,I've moved the rack back as far as it'll go and stay in line with the servo
saver, prolly by a couple of mil.

Nabbed a couple of new turnbuckles too for a couple of sovs on E-Bay too.

Hi, just rebuilding my cobra shocks for the summer season and ive managed to lose the small black plastic cap that holds the shock oring seals in place inside the shock screw cap  can anybody help? mardave are out of stock, so Im desperate, must be one lying around somewhere, thanks dave

adey 31-03-2012 12:27 PM

I'll ask a guy at my local club. I don't use those shocks. Suprised mardave don't have any as a new cobra is out soon.

carty 31-03-2012 01:28 PM

thanks very much, im thinking mardave may have complete shock sets just not the plastic part sets, may have to get another complete shock if i have no joy, cheers

adey 31-03-2012 01:54 PM

Is the car for competition or bashing. If its competition, I would consider changing shocks anyway. The mardave ones are pretty good when built properly but usually you can buy other branded shocks which are Much better quite cheaply off ebay.

carty 31-03-2012 07:35 PM

local club racing mainly, always found the oe shocks ok so hoping to stick with them

Miggers 01-04-2012 06:40 PM

Nice set of Option House Golds on E-Bay at the mo carty:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/KYOSHO-OPT...item2c6428e128

they'd look good on your Cobe and work miles better than the crappy stock ones.

adey 01-04-2012 07:06 PM

I was told that Steve pole who used one back in about 1994 preferred the standard shocks over the associated ones.

carty 02-04-2012 10:55 AM

Chris found the misplaced box of parts and will be sending one out to me, top job from Mardave, problem solved thanks.

You boys use 'em as rug racers though don't you?,mine is set up for and is rapidly becoming a
pretty competent dirt/clay car.

AE or Kyosho are better for off-road.
They seem to handle uneven surfaces well and have a good range of
springs and pistons to tune the suspension with.

adey 03-04-2012 10:12 PM

Steve pole ran the car in the rrc series with standard shocks. That said they were probably the only thing that was standard. I haven't seen his car but I understand it was heavily modified. I tried mine outdoor and it was pretty good but the extra Strain on the driveshafts was too much for them.

When is the Evo out?

Hi Lads,
Does anyone know when the new cobra is out? I haven't raced since 1992,My kids have madrats but I was always an oddball and even though I had a cougar 2000 always wanted to race a cobra? But have been waiting a while to get back racing and I really wanted to start back with a cobra any news?

I sent a couple of emails to help Chris out with the design of the cobra gearbox but never heard back off him so dunno. If anybody wants info on converting their Gbox to run associated parts, send me a pm.
