What happens to Durango...???

Hi All,

 What happens to Durango, that it's almost impossible to get parts for a Car or Buggy from Durango.

Or is it time to look for a other brands to drive ..... ???

According to another RC news site they are bringing new cars out for 4wd 10th and 1/8 but I have to admit with team cut backs and what seems no stock make you wonder

When two shops have money off durango parts it gets your thinking why?

Si Coe 02-03-2015 08:40 PM

This seems to happen every time they have a new car out. Suddenly parts for all existing models (not just the to be replace one) dry up, as if they can't make new kits and provide spares.

Team Durango Spares

I just bough spares for our DETC410's from OMNI models in the USA, found them on eBay.com they did a deal on shipping had loads of stock etc, bought wishbones, hub carriers and metal spool outdrives, works out with shipping and VAT/taxes about 20% cheaper than the UK. (but it's not next day delivery, so if time is a factor it would work out much more expensive)

I know some bang on about supporting UK shops but there's little to be had on shelves in the UK at the moment. MB Models a superstar supplier split a kit for me to keep us up and running MB saved the day once again but has no access to quick spares, we'll get stocked up when he get's stuff in.

Once again, cheers to MB for the next day delivery, most appreciated.

I have a DEX210 and DETC410 and as much as i love the cars the lack of spares mainly on the 410 is very frustrating! I had almost toyed with buying a whole new kit just to double up on everything. Then added to that you get ebayers trying to sell stripped down second hand 410's at over inflated prices.......

Do you know if anyone has tried other cars parts ? Is says somewhere that the car is based on a yokomo I wonder if the older yokomo parts fit the DETC?

i emailed Durango directly yesterday, will see if i get a response

We are waiting for a massive spares order to be delivered, Team Durango now have a new online ordering system for the shops so we can see what is in stock etc, i would say that over 95% of the items we ordered were showing in stock.

I would expect the order to arrive by the middle of next week.

Thanks
MB

durango DETC410 no wish bones

regarding unavailable parts for the DETC410, i needed some wishbones which where out of stock everywhere, I called MB,Wheelspin but both had no stock and unsure of when they would be getting any, so being a bit concerned that I was unable to get parts I called Durango UK and to be fair they where really helpful, Durango went out there way to help and I am getting my wishbones tomorrow.

milesallen 05-03-2015 12:51 PM

I got given their number from Durango HQ in the UK and an email address that bounces back. Awaiting some spares from the States now, but will go direct in the future.

Still pretty poor, that there's a shortage of bits, still my Schumacher never breaks (famous last words) so thats always on standby. Got 2 410's so one has been a donor car in the interim.

Hi Lee,

So you managed to order direct from Durango?

Danosborne6661 06-03-2015 03:05 PM

DESC210 wheels don't exist. If you can't get parts, it's definitely going to put people off their products. There's such a huge range of beginner DEX210's out there yet none of them can get spares.

This state of affairs puts me right off digging my 410r out of retirement.

milesallen 09-03-2015 02:07 PM

MB seem to have spares in stock now, looks like durango went with a new ordering system thats cocked a few things up.
