stotfold winter series 2014/15

Knowing how many NBC members like to do the stotfold winter series booking for this winters meetings is now open and series dates are all ready for your diary (like I'm that organised:blush:)

NBC winter dates will be adjusted so as not to clash

for anyone who has not done it before it's well worth it, friendly meetings, national track, freezing cold, teaches you to drive with no grip, but thats the last of your worrys as you will have lost the feeling in your hands and feet within the 1st hour….can't wait, see you there:lol:

Cheers Dave, I'll sort out some winter racing dates shortly and post them on here and our website.

I would anticipate that we can race on the second and last Sunday of the month in most months. The only exception being Christmas, but with the last Sunday falling on the 28th it's a great opportunity to try out your new presents!!

What tyres do you recommend for both dry and wet at Stotfold for both 4wd and 2wd?

Cheers

Since it's a Schumacher control tyres series, you'll have to choose one of their tyres, up till now it's been mini spikes only, yellow in the dry, silvers for the wet, but this year you can use any Schumacher tyre, I don't know if there is one that works better then a mini spike yet.

Great thanks John.

I do have some silvers and yellows in so will try those. Might also try some silver front studs as I have found they work best on the front of the TLR22-4 no matter the track. But I hear it's low grip at Stotfold so might just run with mini spikes.

Low grip and Stotfold aren't things I normally put together, in the dry the grip level is insane these days & "just about right" when it's wet.

A bit like Coastal then? I'll end up trying my Schumacher mini studs on the front with worn mini spikes on the rear in the dry. Hopefully that should do it.
