Reviving Mini Pins
Took some new yellow minipins that i bought 3 months ago out their packet. The tyre have gone hard and slightly grey, is it possible to use some tyre additive to revive them?

Ive seen a chap clean his using a cleaner to remove the residue from the tyre, and did surprise me how much dirt came off so maybe a wash. Have you tested a wet wipe on the side walls? Actually just found out he uses brake cleaner.

Yeah brake cleaner works a treat, for pins, spray a load on and use a toothbrush, maybe revive then with additive?

Agreed! I tried some good old mini pins vs bnip mini pins (mini pin2 on rear) at York last week. Totally different, I binned them and I'm a tight get! (To get rid of the white/grey colour use a hair dryer then they can be used for a shelfer. They will be black and shinny again.) |

I guess that why i struggled with rear end grip at Batley last week. I noticed some of the pins had sheared off as well... I am gonna buy some new ones for the next meeting..... |
All you need is a hairdryer.
Heat them up and you will see the white colour disappear, they'll be fine with this treatment. Try it, you'll be surprised! I ran old 'revived' ones at York and they were fine. |
