VRC Pro Off Road - out now

Anyone tried it? I have, and I love it! Loads of fun doing short course multiplayer online!

Adam F 11-08-2012 07:40 AM

Adaptors are only £8 at the moment too :)

Jamie.T 11-08-2012 08:02 AM

Where did you guys buy the adapters from?, ive looked on the VRC website and there's no dealer info.

And am i correct in thinking the software is just a download?

DCM 11-08-2012 08:44 AM

I bought an adaptor off eBay....

I was looking forward to the off-road, but 25 euro's for two tracks, a short course truck and a few motor, no buggies as yet..... Game seems to be a bit of a money pit if you want to have what you want, car wise!

_JP_ 11-08-2012 08:59 AM

Just like the real thing then DCM :woot:

DCM 11-08-2012 09:07 AM

Yeah, but the real thing is more fun!!!

I love VRC Pro but it's just too expensive to use regularly. So i ended my subscription, it's a shame because it is good!

DCM 11-08-2012 10:34 AM

I took out the Lite subscription, but got to either run 'spec' class cars or buy others and tracks.

Body Paint 11-08-2012 11:20 AM

Can you get any off road cars and tracks at all on the lite subscription?

DCM 11-08-2012 12:05 PM

Nope, and there is currently only two tracks and a short course truck, which you then have to buy, it is all a little complicated (and according to VRC, cheap!!!)

shortcoursegoat 11-08-2012 12:56 PM

can i buy a durango sc in it and do you know of anywere in he uk with the adapters?

Garry 11-08-2012 02:10 PM

I got my adaptor a few years ago when MB Models were clearing them out for a tenner. You don't HAVE to use real money to buy in-game stuff, I have the 6 month subs, then just pound in the laps. The more miles you do in-game, the more gets paid to you in vEuros monthly. Do every weekly/monthly race wether you like the class or not, and you'll get the 10vEuros for the new chassis or track pretty quickly.

DCM 11-08-2012 02:30 PM

Think I will put my money towards F1 2012...

Can you use vEuros to pay for your next 6 month subscription? Any discounts?

I had VRC and was eagerly awaiting this new one, but it seems expensive.:(

Unfortunately not, that does require a payment but you'll have to work out how often you'll use it to get the benefit. If you're playing daily or weekly then its worth the deal. If its once in a while, then maybe not; remember some people use it as a practice tool, not a game.

I couldn't find it either, but when you sign up for the free trial it asks if you want the adaptor for a special price (£8.25 inc post)

There used to be two types depending on whether you had a digital radio.

RogerM 13-08-2012 11:26 AM

Adapter just plugs into your standard reciever, current version works fine for either the fastest 2.4 or the oldest 27AM and everything in between.

Not had chance to try the short course yet but try to get on at least once a week for a couple of hours of TC (actually more fun than actually racing TC as you don't have to put up with TC drivers trackside ;) )

Subscription with the loyalty discounts you can run up is less than the cost of 3 pints for a month so spend 1 night out of the pub practicing it to break even :)

dibble34 13-08-2012 02:14 PM

do you think practising tc's and short course is useful even when i only race 10th buggies in real life?
