New oOple batracer season - carset vote and team forming

Post here your season entries - name.
I guess we should choose to run
F2 or F3 with 4 people per team and same combination of parts in all teams.
Choice will depend on size of teams that people will want to run

16 entries so far:

Pavel Balint
Steve Baxter
David Bone
Ben Cosgrove
Lisa Cosgrove
Paul Crawford
James Ebden
Wayne Elliot
Darren Eyers
Shane Foot
Liam Jackman
Colin May
Ian Robson
Carl Rowlinson
Charles Wilson
Ilias Xristakos

Ondrej Balint as backup

the V8's are really hard, and a really long season. Probably wouldn't recommend this for people who don't "love" this game!

think the teams with only 2 cars is also bad as if one drops out you are screwed!

Thank you for clarification about V8s. However I still would like to run it :p Maybe next time.
Well, we can make agreement with F3 that everyone will have same combination of parts on car so it will essentially make F2 series but with more people per team.

Here are some informations about these carsets.

Formula 2 - kind of A1GP but with 2 players per team so you won't have to struggle. Everyone has exactly the same car so there isn't any difference circuit to circuit and everyone has same chances to win.

Formula 3 - 3 or 4 players per team (depends on our agreement) last season was this one. Cars aren't completely equal as you combine chassis, motor, tyres and they work in certain conditions better than others.

BatSeven - 3 players per team, we ran it last year. Similar problems as with F3 certain cars have less setup parameters so they are easier to set up, but in weather change or not perfect setup they struggle more.

V8S - 2 players teams (there are three 1 person teams, but it's series for 31 people so there is no problem to left them unfilled), also series is quite long. I really can't comment on equality of teams as I never ran this series before (or as long as I remember :D) I've crawled a bit around forum and people finds it as very competetive series.

Hi Darren. I've added you to list.
Do you have any IM? I can give you some tips as you did this season on your own (it seemed like you didn't read team talk page)

i like the V8's, i just think it will put off any new racers. maybe once we have a hard core regular group!

I'll have another try Pavel not to fussed witch series don't really think we should do v8's though sounds to hard LOL

Cheers Paul Crawford

Well, we were sharing setup and I was quite surprised that you're going your own way all the time despite I've sent some useful help links and setups on team talk page. :D I thought that you're just stubborn :D Next season will be better ;)

v8's are very frustrating, not many setup parameters and you don't gain feedback quickly, season is long as well.
i think for involving new people f2 sounds better

Steve thanks - I've added you to list.

Sure Darren. It's really a shame as we ran whole season basically in 3 people and I was trying hard to get your attention at the beginning in team chat, but eventually I gave up. I do belive that you would enjoy game much more if you would be able to work with rest of the team.

Im in on this one.

Charles Wilson
