CoreRc 80w. Cheap and good enough for most rc jobs. There are other options, but I use the above

I've just bought one of these:-

I was changing the wires on my ESC and the 100w power meant that I only had to hold the iron on for a short period of time so very little heat was transferred into the ESC.

Solder Stations

Hi
I have these for sale:
Option 1
http://www.oople.com/forums/showthre...solder+station

This is an excellent iron with readily available replacement tips from Maplin, small enough to fit into your hauler bag, I can do this for £25

Option 2
http://www.oople.com/forums/showthre...solder+station

I feel that this is the better unit with a more sturdy iron, the down side to this one is its a bit bulky to carry in your hauler bag. I can do this one for £35

These are fairly old links so ignore the prices on there and go by the prices that I have quoted here. Both prices include postage, payment is via paypal gift or buyer pays the fees (3.4%)

Regards Sam

Seconded, a great iron, I got the kit version with different tips and a nice box

If you are serious about soldering and can spend a little more then this is a much cheaper version of the LRP station and it is simple the best I have ever used and I was an electronics engineer using very high-end stations. It laughs at soldering ESC and motors.
