2014 Tyre Rules

As of the AGM on Monday the only suitable tyre on the driven axle is BB Mini Spike, DBoots Mini Spike (Type) and Schumacher Mini Spike. All other driven tyres are used with the permission of the race director. Mini Pins/Blocks are not permitted.

Dudders, why not mini pins ?

Because the scrutining team don't like them. LOL.

So lame!

We have made this decision to fall in line with the choice of tires used at brca nationals and regionals

???????????

thought it was to do with wearing the astro out???

sucks either way.

I don't use them, but I don't agree with tyre rules/banning etc. It just seems silly.

tyres............ there round, there rubber, there a model car. its about fun and racing, tyre rules just screams of restrictions and stupidness.

I only run what's allowed anyway, but I do not agree with banning certain tyres as it effects astro, or some stupid rule some track or another says so.,.............
But I am not one to follow rules................ ;);););););)
:thumbsup::thumbsup:

To be honest yes minipins do damage the astro as well we don't want bald spots.

But the main reason is to fall inline with the brca rules, at the end of the day if you read Neil's post if a racer turs up with an rtr with some clay tires on then it's race directors job to allow.

However a seasoned racer shouldn't be using the 'inferior' tire anyway. Spikes are faster it has been proven.

I get that everyone can have there opinion but we have had no complaints from any of the regular club members so we as a committee will continue to push the club forward

"but we have had no complaints from any of the regular club members.."

I reckon this could be one of the (many?) times that you guys are 'glad' I don't race regularily there any more!!! At least you can post things like that now.. (And yes, meant in jest...)

Good luck with the club and the future...
