Backforfun 25-10-2016 11:59 AM

you can put the new transmition in the older cars !!!

fidspeed 26-10-2016 08:35 PM

that's good news but although team/extreme/vega are showing pred parts
I emailed them but no reply. I know there has been lots of threads about team extreme /vega has anyone recently had luck contacting/purchasing spares recently

hence my plan to retrofit something different that I can maintain currently

thanks for help guys

The late X10/X11 diffs were pretty much bomb proof. I believe the gears were OEM'd from Alex Racing.

cheers matt

Team Xtream seem to be hit and miss there's a few people on Facebook that have had stuff fast and other that have had a few weeks wait. I'd say it's with a try ordering and pay through PayPal then if it dose t arrive then at least you know you'll get your money back.

can anyone help with finding them im struggling to locate alex racing or spares from them im a dullard when it comes to trawling websites iw as hoping there might be a uk source ?

The Alex Racing Barracuda is over ten years old, and were imported into the UK by Centrepoint, which closed down 8 years ago. You are going to be pretty lucky to find ARD parts in the UK.

There is a wide range of shaft drive touring and drift cars available now, it would be more useful to experiment with some of those rather than try and find gears that are rarer than Predator ones.

Dave,

Mitch took some measurements I think of the Pred stuff. Maybe upload them on here see if anyone who has bevel diffs could compare sizes ?? save us forking out for loads of different diffs to try ?

fidspeed 14-11-2016 09:34 PM

cant disagree Tel im just looking for simple options first but there don't seem to be any !!

t4/tm4 option a possibility but 80 quid a set is not cheap

thanks for info though tel

regards dave

Just a thought but hobby King do a copy of the old team c 4wd. I believe it has the same diffs as the tm4. They will be very cheap.
