TSR Custom Shells
Hi Guys!
Today I finished my first shell I did with a reasonable airbrush gun. Even as it still has some minor flaws I still like it and I think I might do a lot more the next few weeks getting to learn to work with liquid mask and some more difficult designs. http://tsphotography.de/shell1.jpg |
Looking good! What colour green is that? It's beautiful

Today I tried somethig new for me.
I got a shell from a friend which had been raced but not been painted yet  So I tried a technique I usually use building lures for fishing. I put some holographic foil under the paint to get an unique look which I quite like now that its finished. The design is rather simple as it was just a test how well the foil can be used. I was really suprised how well it worked and I think much morre difficult designs could be archieved. Surely I´m not the first one who tried this. Do you guys have any pictures of other people doing this? Here are my pictures which dont do the effect much justice. It looks more or less like the backside of a CD. http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/...psbhkhklgo.jpg http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/...psilofvprs.jpg |
Bit of a thread revival but I love the losi shell, nice job.
Regarding the one with the foil on roof (also cracking job), how is the foil holding up? |
