Schumacher mi5 Rear toe in

How do I change rear toe in ?

Seems my car on LHS has 5deg and RHS has 4deg

Any ideas

Rear toe on the Mi5 is set by the caster blocks.
Sound like you may have a mix of blocks

What is better ? 3deg or 2.5deg

Rear toe on the Mi5 is set by the actual carbon suspension arm. If you are measuring an accurate 4 or 5 degrees then something is badly wrong, something must be broken or damaged.

Neither the 3 degree or 2.5 degree arms are better, they are a tuning option, 3 degrees will give more rear grip.

I have 2 mi5's

I am comparing them and i cannot tell the diff looking at the suspension etc etc

I have measured my other mi5 and that measure 2.5 deg

But comparing the 2 cars I can't see anything obvious apart from the more toe in on the problem car

Quite right
I was working from memory and its not quite what it was..... Having a selection of touring cars I sometimes get them mixed up.

Something I cannot understand is that the Mi1 has adjustable rear toe using turnbuckles, yet the Mi5 requires the purchase of parts and a lot more faff to adjust the rear toe, one would think it would be the other way round

I have noticed quite a bit of play in the bearings(hub) and also play in the pin

so might be that ! When i push play away i get 3 deg which is what W/B arms are on

On the Mi5 you tend to get play on the pins. the fix is to drill the hub and put a grub screw in to take the slop out. You will have to grind a flat on the pin also. the play on the bearings I don't know. Is it a new car to your self If not, check if the steel shim is in- between the bearings.
