Error when sending a PM

I am trying to message a member n here but I get this error

esteban has chosen not to receive private messages or may not be allowed to receive private messages. Therefore you may not send your message to him/her.

He sent me a message earlier today but I can't reply to it :confused:

He has indeed chosen not to receive PM's.
I can change this, but only at his request...
