DEX410v5

Hi All,

Anyone want to spend words for the amazing car as the DEX410v5.

I wish to get some carpet, astro set-ups if possible. If any drivers wish to share some advice this is the right place to do

Thanks

How do you build youre middle differential without having to much friction? I can feelit having a lot of friction from itself and cannot tighten it fully? The aluminium parts also have a lot of friction??

Honestly I've followed the instruction from Team Durango site, link attached below:

Please give it a try.

I am asking drivers, perhaps professionals drivers, to share their set-ups along with advice to keep the car in a good shape :-)

thanks

Two way slipper....advice

Please clarifying me what the durango two way slipper is used for.

Its better to use the two way slipper for astro/carpet or for low traction ?

on my dex410v5 I am using diff with slipper in the centre.

Any advice are appreciated

Somebody has a solution for the snapping front shockshafts??

mattr 26-11-2016 11:00 PM

1. Make sure both top and bottom mounts rotate freely in all directions.

2. Don't drive into stuff so hard. The shocks are quite exposed.

I did 3 or 4 in quick succession. Then stopped driving into things........

Talking to others on another forum with this issue on the dex410v5 and the dex210F the front shock shafts are overhardened and break too easily.

I spoke with Hobbico in the USA since they provide customer support for durango, and they ended up sending me a set of the original longer shock shafts, the gold ones from what I recall. Best bet, install those and be done with it. No issues afterwards.

hard to find any info on the vehicle, does anyone actually use the front sway bars on carpet setups?

I am using the front swaw bar while running on carpet or astro. Keep the front end more balanced butnits something you could give it a try. Also the rear sway bar is a must , tiy the bigger diameter

I managed to take first at our first leg of the winter series, leader broke so it probably should have been second but I was running 13.5 versus others running 10.5 and faster.

Using Chris setup it worked well. Curious though does anyone run any droop limiting.

no bar on front worked well, but I may try it. since we run slicks all around it not as much bite up front.

But you guys who run on carpet astro can better comment.

I only broke a front shock shaft when i hit the front hard on my fist outing, i have raced since without bother, even on thursday night there was a chicane and i tried to straight line it to much and its pretty flat out and hit pretty hard without issue.

I broke 2 shockshafts.
1st race I had no spare so exit.
2nd race I couldnt finish in the last final, it cost me the overall victory.
I was 2nd overall, so its a great car with a very big problem!!
