club 7th november
Hi all
we are due to race tomorrow I think if we do race we will be on grass as I think it will be wet, on the wet subject Sunday mornings forecast looks grim at the min, and it not fantastic over night! If all those who are thinking of giving it a miss let me know as it may help me with the decision to call it off if needs be. |

If there is rubbish in the bearing, forcing it to spin will only wear out the balls and cage, which may results in square balls or a bearing that ends up disintegrating when it spins. You can remove the bearing shield on one side with a hobby knife, clean it out with some WD40 or GT85, place a little bearing oil or even a smidge of the high pressure black grease in there and reinstall with the remaining shield facing outwards. Don't use the white diff grease as it's designed to cause friction and will wear it out. Having one shield on the bearing shouldn't really cause any major problems providing you always put the bearing with the shield facing the elements. |
