TRF501 run or shelf

Just prepared an immaculate 2nd hand 501 and put the one way in the front. Was going to shelf it but after just driving it realised its phenomenal - is it up to the job these days?

Sure is, no doubt about it. The 511 is an evolution not a revolution except the 501X is a PITA to maintain, too many little bits and some awkward design elements that make some simple track-side fixes and adjustments downright painful.

Driving wise however it'll still mix it with the best, drive it like you stole it.

Agreed - it's a great car!

Do IT!

I've got the steel gears coming for the gear diff so that will hopefully reduce maintenance to the car (Changing ball diffs is a pian trackside).

Wow sounds like I'm off to the Lancashire Dirt Arena on Friday night with it then.

The car came with a small amount of spares but I'm noticing a lack of stockists - apart from Ebay any other stockists I should keep an out for on the web?

I use eBay, Stella or RCMart if I get them from afar, sometimes I could get 501X parts from the national distributor but not always and probably not now that they're discontinued.

I have some basic stuff remaining: http://www.oople.com/forums/showthread.php?p=732963
