Just wanted to know who makes custom charge leads, can’t seem to find anyone

Unless they are *really* weird, or dangerous. You can probably buy off the shelf. Hobbyking, the border have both got a selection that i've used before.

If you need weird or dangerous, you'd be better off DIYing it, or asking someone at your local club.

If it's dangerous, DIY only.

What do you need?

Hi Matt,

I have been given an lrp touch charger and I’m getting very confused with what I need. Apparently because it has an integrated balancer with an EHR connection it’s not the norm connector compared to other chargers.
I have an EHR to XH lead that connects with the EHR connection into the balance port on the charger but getting confused on what external balance board I need to get ?

The batteries I need to charge will be 2s shorties for 2wd and 4wd and then a transmitter lipo with a different connection on it (smaller than shorty lipo).

Whenever I seem to ask anyone everyone seems to say these chargers have different connections which started to make me think shall I sell it and get something with standard connections on for the balance element with the lipo?

Put a picture of the connector up so we can see.

Like that?

I just use a normal balance lead inserted into the right part of the connector on the charger (some of my chargers have them).

Or something like that?

Or this?

Only thing that might upset this is if you are using batteries with built in connectors, rather than 4 or 5mm tubes/bullets.

Images of connectors and the charger would be good!

Hi,

Feel a little embarrassed, after going through the response from Matt he supplied example images one of which shows the lrp touch charger with 2s balance charge leads with the balance connector plugged into the balance connection on the charger even though it’s a smaller connector, just tried the charge lead I have that came with the charger for 2s lipo s and that fits in, so sorted.

That just leaves my transmitter lipo I have bought which has a small balance connection which definitely doesn’t fit the balance connector on the charger.

This is the lipo I have

The balance connector looks like a JST-XH to me.
Power cable is a "standard" servo connector.

Should be able to find a charger cable for that.

Thanks Matt, will source one of these

I had exactly the same problem with my older LRP charger. Spoke to customer services at hobbyking and they had nothing that would fit. Luckily I've got a basic charger for the tramistter Lipo otherwise I wouldn't be able to charge it

I've got a couple of longer charge leads for my RX/TX batteries that have the same connectors as yours, one i made up myself, the other i ordered at the same time as the battery.

Unfortunately, i've got no idea where i ordered the batteries from and the box of charge cables is right at the bottom of a stack of stuff that i really can't be bothered to move right now. So i can't even get you a photo.
