Newbie 2wd Buggy Tyres for indoor?

Hi there.

I'm thinking of coming down in a couple of weeks on Saturday and trying my Cougar SV2 after being away from racing for 20 odd years.

I used to race at BMCC in the 90's and loving the way the outdoor tracks have developed over the years after coming down to see the first round of the snowman series the other week.

The question I have, is what tyres are permitted for 2wd buggy indoor (as seen conflicting info re minipins) and does anyone have recommendations re inserts etc.

Many thanks and looking forward to it :-)

Cheers
Neil

Schumacher yellow low profile cut staggers or yellow low profile staggers for the front.

Schumacher yellow mini spikes for the rear with medium insert, my favourites are the jconcepts closed cell but the standard Schumacher blue mediums are fine.

To be honest though, not many run buggies indoor. It's a bit of a mish mash; 1/10 4WD, 1/10 2WD, RTR, 1/14 4WD - all in the same heat.

You would be better off running GT12 or Tamiya minis on a Saturday night.

Mansfield RC racing is the place for indoor offroad but they run Wednesdays.

That's great. Many thanks for responding.

Might have to get myself a GT12 the for the indoor stuff and then venture down to Eastwood for the outdoor.

Thanks again for the info.
Neil
