If your happy to mix fuel then Screwfix do a decent little 2 stroker for around £80. You do have to be absoloutely spot on with the fuel/oil mix though.

Thanks Craig but I'm after a 4 stroke can not be bothered mixing fuel etc just want to buy normal fuel and leave it for the day.

The Kipor output is not like a normal geny it send out an output then amplifies it up, so if you need to run something big on it, it stalls

my mates one comes from Costco for around £50. very similar to the 2 stroke Wolf models. works faultlessly and happily runs a few chargers/dischargers/soldering iron. i've never mixed the fuel too precisely and it doesn't complain.

The wolf model is available from wolf-online for about £90.

that just means the one you have is to small for what your trying to run on it

thanks Craig , Makro near me has one for sale around 80 so i think i may invest in them .
what oil do you use in them ???

jim76 07-04-2008 12:04 PM

just normal 2 stroke oil, available from most petrol stations. the gennie usually has a little measuring cup under the petrol cap.

they only stall if you over load em, my 2000 kipor runs my caravan and chargers etc no problem, even does microwave

think ours is 800w, but it should be fine as Dan said. i can't remember the calculation to convert W/V/Amps etc. no doubt someone who can remember their physics A-levels will post up confirmation!
