Which Esc and motor do you run? 4wd off-road

Hi guys.

Looking to kit my Yokomo Bmax4 out with Electrics this weekend and unsure of which motor and speedo to go for.

Currently in my B5M I'm running an Orion R10.1 and Reedy Mach 2 7T motor. However, as 4wd drive is going to be a secondary class for me and not run as much I can't justify another Orion R10.1 at £180 odd to myself.

The contenders for Esc's at the moment are:

Hobby Wing V3.1 120A (unsure if this comes with programming card which would be extra expense if my Orion DSB-R doesn't work)

Speed passion reventon pro

LRP works flow team.

Motor wise I'm looking to run 5.5 turn and pretty unsure what to go for again, bellow seem contenders but don't know a great deal about them

Turnigy Trackstar
Speed passion.
G Force

So I'm wondering what you guys are running and input on the above or any other suggestions.

Thanks
Nick

I would go for a R10.1 or used R10, same setup card as your 2wd, easier to manage 2 cars with the same ESC plus 4wd can be hard on those.
You will keep it for a while, resell value is good and can be a spare for the 2wd.
And I'm not running Orion electronics (Orca) but quality is good and very reliable.

A good 6.5 will be enough and easier to run.

Go for the lrp, in my opinion it's better than the orion

Lrp for me too tried orion and went back to the flow with a x20 6.5

I use a Vampire SR1+ with V2 6T motor for 4WD, perfect. Very simple to use, very smooth and great top end power.
