Lightweight "Thin4" | RC10B4 FT
Nothing special, but i got kind of bored..so i took some parts that i have here in the hoby room  some spare chassis, arms, electronics so on..
See how low light i can get this "Thin4", no plans to race, since it is waaay to light..i hope :D Heaviest of the El will be the Xerun60A sensor and Novak 380 - 8.5T Rest will be mini servo Hardcase CS 1900lipo can handle 114A burst.. I will use Orion 26mm lightweight El touring rims, with dito rally/pin from schumi http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o...4/DSC_0223.jpg http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o...4/DSC_0227.jpg |
you'll need quite the mini servo, I'd think a low pro servo would be much better, even though you don't plan on racing it, you'll still want it to steer
|
now you should try to mount a durango body on this!

ISC949 Ko servo i think..
Il make a cab forward i think :) http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o...4/DSC_0234.jpg http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o...4/DSC_0232.jpg |

Looks good. How well does it get round a track tho?
|
the feeling was awsome...not sure if il be sticking with the CM26 , il going to test 1/10th el..
|
hey MR.P
Looks Like fun . if your going to put a 1/10th motor . maybe a one cell lipo could do the trick . ie : 4200mAh 3.7V Carbon LiPo battery, for 1/12-scale cars http://www.redrc.net/wp-content/uplo...rion1S4200.jpg |
Car looks ace
Will first test be at "green hill" ?? |

Tried this myself, and using a 1 cell lipo with a 3.5t motor gives reasonable power in a car on the weight limit, but imo isn't worth the trouble. If you go this route you need a receiver pack. - The 1/12 style regulators don't give enough oomph. But the main drawback is the amount of time to charge as the lower voltage means you take a lot more out of the pack than with 2s. You can't get away with one battery unless you are running at a very large meeting. A 2s micro pack like the one pictured in the car, or low capacity full size 2s pack such as orions 2400 which only weighs 150g is a better option. But it will depend on your local rules as to what you can do. |
First test will be at GreenHill...i will order some 2200 45c packs...i will not run the 1/10th system in this...it was never made for it...but it can be done, i have done it...it looks good :)

Looking good thomas

Awesome Thomas :D
How about 4wd front tyres on the back to loose a little more weight ? and for motor, how about using something like Dan has in his Chunk, its 400 size so can use stock 48dp pinions too  or maybe shorten the chassis, change the wishbones and call it a Micro !! |
nice input wayne.
i can tell you will be a valued member of this forum. |
