Hello

I have just bought a RB6 and as a beginner was just wondering what people think I should run in it.

Cheers Tom

HI Tommy,

that is a very broad question.

Do you mean electronics? If so the car was designed around Orion equipment (a great choice) but use what you feel most comfortable with personnally.

Do you mean setup wise? If so we would need to know about the track(s) that you will be running the car on. Have a look at some of my setups on PetitRC if you're running on astroturf / grass. If not I will try to help to guide you to a good starting point.

Enjoy your RB6.

Hello

Some help with how to set it up please. I am going to start racing it on AstroTurf indoors . its a normal rc car with tight turns and small jumps.

could you put a link to your set guide please.

Here you go ......

Loads of general info and proven setups here.

http://www.petitrc.com/setup/kyosho/...UltimaRB6.html

Is a good safe starting setup, if you find the car rolls too much in the corners I'd try increasing the front oil to 600cst and maybe even increasing the front spring to Xgear Orange.

If you let me know how you get on I'll try to help you fine tune.

One thing I'd say is forget my motor and gearing selection ..... that is a quick setup. I'd start with something like a 10.5 on gearing 29/78.

Where will you be racing?

Hope that helps.

What last thing. pinion . what actually are they. do they attach to the motor ?

Neil Skull 22-06-2015 04:08 PM

Hi,
Pinion Gear is what goes on the motor.
FYI the Spur gear is the big one in the car.
