2.4g transmitter

Hi guys, I became unwell a few years ago so had to give up racing and sold all most all of my kit. I'm looking for a wheel transmitter and was hoping someone could tell me what is the best one on the market these days? Cheers

I use Sanwa MT4 and it is great. Their top radio is the M12 which is apparently superb. Also, ko-propo are supposed to be excellent. Both KO and Sanwa are higher end in terms of price and performance
Lots of people use the Spectrum radios with good reports.
If looking for lower cost then I have also had the Absima CR3p and crt4 which also work well

Spectrum make some really good handsets and sanwa are another great brand near got there mid range one but trigger felt weird for me but that's just me lots of mates have great results with them

I run spectrum as they feel best in my hand

Ko pro wheels have a think trigger that can brake if ur heavy handed other then that the work well and look the nuts

Absima I have used before first one failed within a week got replacement then after few months it kept cutting out turn off and on . Plus when going from the crt4 to the spectrum dx4s the response was so much faster and felt smooth

So if ur going to race advise £160 plus hand sets
so on budget £160ish
Spectrum dx4s
And sawna

Better ones around £400
Sanwa top of the range
Spectrum dx6r
Futaba top of the range
Ko pro

Hope it helps

Thanks for the information guys much appreciated. I've narrowed it down to two transmitters, which one would you guys thinks is best? Futaba T4PX or the Spektrum DX6-R

I currently own an old-school Futaba T4PKS-R and as I am looking for something new, I took a look at various transmitters last weekend and talked to their owners. Reactions to the two radios could not have been more different. While the owner of the limited edition 4PXR was totally in love with his radio, the DX-6R owner was utterly disappointed and contemplated downgrading to the DX-5R. When it comes to manufacturing quality and feel, Futaba still is leaps and bounds ahead of Spektrum.
Bottom line: Of those two radios, I'd only consider the 4PX.

For myself, I am still undecided between the 4PX, upcoming 7PX, Sanwa M12S, and 4PV. While I don't like the wedge design of the M12S, it currently seems to be the gold standard. The 4PV is a bargain compared to the other radios and accepts the 4PX steering wheel drop down and angle adapters.

The guys at Western Valley Models in Risca have a DX6R in stock and its meant to be e nice bit of kit.

Cheers
