Acetone - which?
Hi all,
I’m Looking at getting 5 litres of acetone to remove the old tyres from my wheels. There are lots of suppliers on the Bay of E but the purity of the acetone varies. Does it matter which acetone I use? Thanks for reading. |
Don't bother with acetone
Go and buy the cheap food steamer from argus(£15 approx)and cut out your insert and as much of the old tyre as you can.90 minutes in the steamer nice clean wheel, you will need a thick glove and pliers to remove the of tyre,.. Cheaper and safer... Have recommended this to loads of people...

The more pure the acetone is the better it will work

+1 for the steamer. If you are tight like me dont cut the tyre off and they can then be reused on you sons basher.
