using lrp sensor wire with yokomo motors??

i am currently using a lrp sxx tc spec with a lrp 7.5 x12 motor i have a yokomo 7.5r zero modifides motor i want to use in the bmax. my question is that will the sensor wire work from the tc spec into the yokomo motor? it fits perfect and all but am very cautious about turning it on!! i really cant afford to buy another speedo right now...any advise would greatly be appreciated

thanks

As far as I understand it all motor plugs are standard and differences are at the speedo end.

I have a GM setup in my tourer and the motor came with a special sensor cable for use with GM speedo's (different plug at the speedo end), but also a normal sensor cable for use with other speedo's (same plug both ends).

Either way you use the same plug at the motor end.

So I would say you would be fine to use the Yoke motor on the LRP speedo with the supplied standard sensor wire. Thats my 2 cents.

Everything except Novak stuff uses standard sensor harnesses. I'm using a Losi motor with an Lrp esc and a Speed Passion harness - its all good!
Novak stuff is different, but only because the harness is hardwired to the motor and can't be replaced. It still uses the same plugs, and I've connected mine to Lrp esc's.

The reason for the funny harness for the GM will be that they can run Delta wind motors that work differently.

i just got back from racing and the yokomo motor is a monster with the sxx tc spec the only thing you gotta watch out for is the profiles you are using on the speedo due to timing advance on the sxx tc spec! you either gotta retard timing on the motor or go low on the profile on the speedo i was comming off the track at around 145-155 and this was in 90 degree heat!! sweatin balls out there!!
