1/10th Off Road Indoor Winter Series @ UMCC

The UMCC for the first time will be running an Indoor Winter Series for 1/10Th Off road both 2wd and 4wd Open, Along side our current Touring cars and Tamiya Mini's. The Track is Located In College Avenue Bangor, Co Down and made from carpet, anyone who has raced with us in the past year or so will know we have a very professional set up, We are currently in the process of building some jumps for the Buggies . As we run touring cars alongside, NO Spiked tyre will be allowed AT ALL!! There are a number of treaded and slick tyres currently on the market for buggies that work well and have been previously tested. The 2012/13 Race Dates are as follows. The School is located here https://plus.google.com/107431142762...ut?gl=uk&hl=en We race in the sports hall located around the back of the building, you will see a small lane to the right of the school that takes you around the back 9AM - The hall opens 9AM-10.30AM Open Practice 10.30-10.45AM - Drivers Briefing 3 Round of Qualifying FTQ 3 Leg Finals We really hope buggies can get off the ground and running as we have a superb track and club with fun and competitive racing. |
Am I right is saying that although no spikes are allowed, you can use a tyre which has had all the spikes cut off?

Yeap, Mark Penny ran some mini pins with the spikes cut off and dremel into a slick tyre, So works pretty well for all those old sets :)
