Great magazine!

...I was going to say it needs some better proof reading, but then I saw the last page...This was put together in two weeks? Definitely let you off a few typos, then :)

I found the content to be really good. It's really interesting to see quite a few different areas covered, and as someone just getting into things, the reviews of equipment were great.

I'm a bit confused the charging structure? You say it's free, but it has £5.99 on the front cover, and the website says "You will be charged for the password every month", or some such?

I'd love to see it in print. I spend 8-10 hours a day staring at screens of what sort or another. I like to hold paper now and then...

But great work, really great.

Hi! Yes, we did it in just a couple of weeks, at the busiest time of year, so some typos have crept through, we're only human! We'll be updating it with some corrections.

Pricing, the cover says £4.99 not £5.99. That's the price the print version will be.

The pdf download will always be free, the website says we'll change the password each month, not charge for it!

Enjoy!

Cool. I managed to squeeze more errors into a single post than you guys got into a full magazine :)

I'm already looking forward to your next edition, I'm loving it!

how long does it take to get the password, registered my email but not received anything...

mark christopher 03-01-2016 06:36 AM

Once you have registered, a password is given to you. or you can join the facebook page, on the registration page for it

What's the thinking behind restricting who can view the magazine with a password? I assume you have no system to issue unique passwords to each registered user, so the same password is shared.

Good luck with it.

I'm sure it's a great read and i admire your efforts but there's no fu*@#n way on earth I'm joining facebook just to take a look

Check your spam or junk box, emails unfortunately occasionally end up there.

Even then some don't get delivered at all.

So the password is now on the page immediately after entering your email.

Not quite Mark. You don't have to join the Facebook group, that's just an alternative way to get it.

So it's either email OR Facebook.

We're doing it this way as we can then build an email list of subscribers. Then we can keep people up to date with each issue launch. And, it's what enables us to give it away for free - data has a value, allows us to more easily sell advertising and keep the download free for everyone.

We could very easily give out unique passwords, no problem at all, but chose to use a shared one for simplicity.

As I mention above, you absolutely DON'T have to fu*@#n sign up to Facebook to get it, just sign-up with your email address instead.

Hope this helps!
