Anybody any advise on what it cost's to bring stuff into the UK? and what the process for doing so is?

How much you spending anything from US will incure fees over £14.80/$24

Plus £8/12 parcelfarce handling fee

V.A.T plus 20%

I expect upward of £200 maybe £300 or the $ equivalent

just work it out, £300 times 20% plus £12 (or whatever the exact amount is these days) admin fee

So roughly £72 i'd expect on your example above :)

The ideal situation is to find someone who is traveling from the US to the UK as the duty free limit is 390 quid. Also many US companies have free delivery in 48 states. I have done this many times and you can save a fortune.
