New Kyosho 1/10 4WD buggy?

Hi, is there any info about any new 4WD? I heard rumors about this from a local guy

Neil Skull 23-05-2013 11:18 AM

No New Buggy is due.

The real question is would anyone with real inside info actually spill the beans before Kyosho was ready?

If you don't mind me saying so, your comment is a little silly if you actually read the signature of who posted.

Being a worlds year, no doubt there will be the odd item and probably specific to the USA style track the event is held at. This happens with every manufacturer

Neil Skull 24-05-2013 08:34 AM

Well the truth is this.
At Nuremberg this year we had a meeting with Kyosho President and executives, They told us no plans for new car at present but Tebo is working on few improvements being a Worlds year!

So we expect same option parts are likely, Maybe if Tebo does well or any other Kyosho driver they will release a WC Kit but there is no New Car as such in the pipeline.

We honestly think the FS2SP is a great car and no real need for Major change.

I have told this to all our team drivers so anyone else saying otherwise is just trying to cause some confusion.

You just have to remember there will always be a new car in the future. or for some brands next week  You just have to choose what you want right now that will give you most satisfaction for your Hobby!!!

Why change a good thing I say

Neil, is it true that one of Tebos upgrades moves the motor ?

Neil Skull 24-05-2013 04:22 PM

Tebo trying all kinds of things! no point in speculating till we know what we will be released. also all developments are for the worlds track.

Word is, ali chassis, gear diffs and shorty lipo, you can see in one of the pics the motor has been moved.

There are a few pics floating about on rcinsider.com and also on rctech.net

shorty lipo's ... yuk  Hope there is also a possibility to place normal saddles, but I doubt it.

Other than that it will be a winner out of the box, superb quality that's for sure.

The price will probably reflect that as well.

It will also be the time to buy second hand fs2 cars for a bargain. Great times to come!

I like the alu reinforced front tower...it is the only part on my fs2 cars that breaks from time to time...even whilst having applied all tips about mounting the towers. This might be a bomb proof one!

having seen some videos of the 4wd I'm not surprised tebo has beefed up the shock towers etc seen the size of some of the jumps, the one at the back of the track is a total psychotic monster:woot:, the track is huge and looks mental fast, well its an 8th track, so I suspect there will be quite a few manufacturers with modifications, stronger cars etc

if all that comes of this is a stronger front shock tower, can be nothing but a good thing:thumbsup:

They did an awesome job on the RB6, was hoping the same for a new 4wd and I have to say I'm very happy with what I saw.

Nice shell, shorty (very nice as ai will be able to run the same kind of lipo for both) and overall lots of encouraging details

Can't wait to see more !

Price... That's a concern as it will be high.

Hmmm I wonder what the idea is behind the golf ball dimples on the rear wing?

I do know that Zipp use dimples on their high end carbon fibre racing wheels to improve drag reduction and to give a larger working range with regard to wind angle of attack relative to the wheel but not sure how any of that would relate to a fixed wing on 1/10th scale buggy?

racingdwarf 11-06-2013 10:49 PM

not surprise me if they were playing with wings in wind tunnels, jumps the size of the ones on that track your wing will start to make a big difference as the car looked to be airborne for ages

Where are you guys finding these videos?

racingdwarf 12-06-2013 12:26 PM
