Hi Folks,

We’ve started an indoor buggy club in Shirley (Solihull) in the West Midlands. The club runs at Woodlands Infant School, Woodlands Lane, Shirley, Solihull, B90 2PX.

The club is intended to offer a light-hearted racing experience, allowing everyone to enjoy the excitement of R/C car racing and the camaraderie this brings. The race meetings have 3 rounds of heats and a final. Laps are counted manually (old school). Doors open at 18:00 for booking in and track set-up. The racing starts at 19:00 until around 21:45.

Race classes include:

SXR Xperience – an introductory class to enable newcomers to enjoy the thrill of R/C car racing. Open to any electric car provided it can get around our track.

SXR Silver – for any 1/10 2WD buggy powered by a 27T silver can motor (e.g. Mabuchi RS540SH) and brushed only ESC. This class offer very close racing at a budget – great fun and totally addictive.

SXR 17.5 – for any 1/10 2WD buggy powered by a 17.5 brushless motor and ‘blinky’ mode ESC. Just as fun as SXR Silver, but something slightly quicker and more powerful.

SXR Micro – for any micro scale truck/buggy conforming to BRCA construction rules. Our track is ideal for this class.
