What an update to the SV2 (SV3?) might have looked like with a laydown gearbox

When I restarted racing again around March 2016 I found my newly acquired SV2 not that competitive on high grip EOS carpet :(
So what started out as a project to create & fit a laydown gearbox to a SV2, through evolution, escalated to what eventually became quite a different car to a SV2. It's pretty much my favorite features from a variety of RC cars since returning in 2016, a mixture of KF and KD parts with some inspiration from a YZ2 :) Thank you to Cobra Racing for the chassis manufacturing and Fybre-Lyte for the carbon fibre manufacturing. Also Penguin Body Shells for the under tray vac-forming. |
That's an awesome bit of engineering mate
I have little doubt it goes better than a KC or a KD! |

That is very kind thank you :) |
Cool stuff; it's nice to see there are still custom projects and builds! Have you got action pics or vids by any chance? :)

Thank you. On the action pictures, I haven't but will try and get some sorted :) PS - your buggy and a laydown gearbox another member made for a Kyosho was actually my inspiration - so thank you  |
What gearbox did you use for it ?.

Thank you, and thanks for your and Ken's hard work, and for taking it on. The chassis is a work of art I think . Before I received it, I was just going to run it without an undertray as I only race indoors. But after receiving it, viewing the quality of the work, the beautiful finished article, there was no way I could let it get cut up racing without an undertray. Thank you |
