New motor and esc, which one for slash 4x4

Hey people,

I have a traxxas slash 4x4 ultimate with velinion 3500 setup but either the motor or esc or perhaps both has gone up it and I can't get the purchase invoice from the first owner to get it done on warranty?

Questions are mainly, which setup to go for, I want a kit that will be better for both performance on indoor astro track whilst being robust enough for bashing?

What's better, sensored or sensorless motor as I had an issue with cogging on the standard velinion motor and I've heard that a sensored motor is better for this not happening?

All help and suggestions greatly appreciated :)

Do the Hobbywing stuff, either the SC esc/motor combo or a V2.1 combo with 4 pole motor.
Not sure on your club rules so check if you are allowed 4 pole when racing

Just thought I would update this thread, I decided to replace the whole lot and found a good deal on a new Castle Creations Sidewinder SCT combo (3800kv) and I must say so far I have been very impressed.

Very cool running with fans for both the Motor and the ESC, much better battery performance than I had with the stock velineon kit. I have changed the gearing so I dont know if its any faster than before but it most certainly feels more driveable.

The real test comes tonight at the SRCMCC race night to see if I go any better than last time out!! Watch this space. So far though I would definately recommend this combo for SC trucks :)
