jlucas 26-03-2014 01:18 PM

15k works a treat

Cheers guys think i'll try 10k and see how that goes

It also depends on your track.. isit bumpy? if so then you need to lower the oil. if its smooth and flat you can get away with thicker oils. I've a range in my box of 3k, 5k, 7k and 12k.

I used 7k on a bumpy track last week and it felt great.

How come the kf uses such thick oil in the rear diff, most other cars use 1-3k

They dont, on high grip 10k is pretty normal..

Some of the TeamC UK guys were running 20-40k in the TM2's on high grip.. I ran 8K in my Xray 2wd and 10k in the 4wd...

Outside when its slippy its another matter... although there is a ball diff for that..

I've used 20k since we bought the car out.

There is a difference is size compared to some of the other diffs on the market, therefore not all can take the same thickness of oil.

I'm mainly going to be racing my KF on grass, some areas are a bit bumpy. What diff oil would you recommend? I do plan on getting the ball diff as this seems the way to go but at the moment I will just be using the gear diff.

Can anyone offer some advice on this please?
