TORCH EPR Visit - 11th April

I am wanting to attend EPR for the regional in the summer. Who is interested in this? It will be a hard event I expect.

I will be practicing at TORCH!

This is just an idea at the moment and please don't think I am not loyal to TORCH.

I want to do a regional series this year. Not sure on 2wd, 4wd or both. Also not sure on Mid south or South East which includes EPR.

mikeyscott 21-01-2010 10:16 PM

I'll be doing both 2wd and 4wd.

Not sure what others are in the list

dibble34 21-01-2010 10:19 PM

Cool, let me know what you decide. I quite fancy going to one of the winter series dates to get an idea of what it's like.

mikeyscott 21-01-2010 10:33 PM

7th March, but we need to do things at TORCH, track improvements. Rostrum painting. Speakers etc

dibble34 21-01-2010 10:35 PM

There is one on 7th feb too

I'd love to do 7th Feb, but my plate is going to be full enough

Realistically I think it's going to be a trip when the summer series starts

you guys are a bit stuck for regionals really, as you are a fair trek from either the mid south or south east.
A couple of the mid south tracks may be near ish to you, but the others are a long way away like Silverstone, so you are buggered if you wanted to complete a full series for an "F" grade license.

EPR is probably as close as most to you, and is a straight run up the A3 and M25. I switched over to the south east last year from the mid south, mainly due to EPR being such an excellent track. But also they have a steadily growing number of drivers, averaging well over 50 at most rounds. They are also an extremely friendly crowd.

I'd highly recommend getting down there for a round either for the winter series, or one of the regional legs.

I was hoping to gain an F grade this year, but as you say we aren't in a good location for regionals.

What clubs around us will be running them?

A short answer, none!!!

You guys would be best suited coming to the South East to compete in regionals. We usually hold 2 rounds of both classes at EPR, this would just leave 1 other meeting to attend, it was 3 out of 5 to count last year, assuming we have the same as last year.
The other two tracks that is most likely to host the other rounds is West Kent in Tonbridge, grass track, and Faversham off road car club in Boughton, near Canterbury, grass track as well.
And as Jim said, we all race hard, but are friendly overall!!! Plus we now have many very good drivers and numbers so the competition is good!!!
Also if TORCH ever want to host a regional you could do it under the South East banner, you are right on the border, with very little in the south west. There is also the End of Year Nationals to think about, you can usually not attend these unless you have done a regional series.
So alot to think about, but we are here to help:thumbsup:

Hi Chris,

It's the time of year. You'll can bet they'll be some great racing over the spring and summer months.

How are you getting on with you B4?

Mike
