Regional Track

OK, in a dilemma, do we go for a track over on the grass, will people volunteer to come help with the ropes early in the morning, or do we go for the Astro?

Pops 01-08-2011 05:45 PM

Im for the big field...Why? I hear you ask...More space for 10 car q's and f's...It all got rather naughty on sunday in the finals so will def need reffing for wrca..Oh in answer to your q stevo.. yeah we'l help:lol:

I voted grass too... for the exact same reasons as Dave's.

More space, bigger track, potentially less contact racing for more cars in a Regional race.

Jamie.T 01-08-2011 08:34 PM

I voted astro despite the tighter space for racing, but the surface is much better for racing on.

Belsten 01-08-2011 08:48 PM

I voted astro although still a big fan of grass, I dont mind either way really

I voted grass...partly to take away some of the local knowledge on the Astro :D But also because grass is fun!!! The space thing will be a big benefit as well.

You always have the astro as backup if the weather turns against us nearer the time though.

Not too bothered really though...just looking forward to some racing

track..

I'm happy to race on either tbh

You know the answer to that - pop down we race on most sundays :p:p

This is the benefit we have at present its just setup time/security and a rostrum maybe an issue....

regional surface

Ok so it seems a pretty fair spilt between our astro track and the main field:confused:
Sooo we will chat more about this as a club and also with the regulars on sunday to decide....

Jamie.T 09-08-2011 10:01 PM

I voted astro as i prefer the surface, but if numbers look good for this round then the astro may be a squeeze.

Perhaps consider the surface nearer the time when forecast and entry numbers can be better predicted?

Weather

Your right jamie we could plan for the grass and then it pee's down and we have to run on the astro, but as the grass will take alot more effort than the astro we have to at least start planning shortly if we are going to run that way ;)

Jamie.T 09-08-2011 10:07 PM

Ye, its a tricky one. Weather dependent, a few of us plan on coming up Sunday Dave, see you there.

JACKOR33 09-08-2011 10:08 PM

Magsy as per our WRCA thread we are running on the grass aslong as it doesn't pee down on race day.
