Thanks Dombrasky. I have tried silicon sealant in the past but I must admit I haven't this time. I would be willing to try a slide carb but it would be tricky to to fit - the Mardave is very basic....

Thanks for the reply. I forgot to mention that the Irvine takes a 13mm stub fitting carb, which needs to be the rotary throttle type.

Carb for vintage Irvine 20 - rotary, 13mm fitting

Hi, anybody got a decent carb that has a 13mm stub, rotary throttle and is suitable for a .20 glow engine? It's for my old Mardave Marauder. Thanks!

Okay, so I cheated a bit and bought another motor - an OS Max CZ 12Z SE with some nice hopups, and it runs like a watch, albeit a very loud, smoky one :)
